A spicy, warming drink for cold autumn and winter nights.
2l/3.25pint cranberry juice
2 oranges, zested
14 whole cloves
175g/6oz dried cranberries
1tsp vanilla extract
2 whole cinnamon sticks
Pour the cranberry juice into a large saucepan on the hob and heat on a medium setting.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the juice and heat, stirring occasionally, gently until hot and steamy.
Serve in warmed mugs.
NOTE – This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker set on high, and will take about 20 minutes to warm and will then keep the mixture warm for your party if set on low or auto.
